Although alike grapple depictions sexuality, former is habitually regarded “conservative” “cautious” when it comes to matters latter proves “radical” “rule breaking”. Through further analysis texts, reveal complexities behind Beijing Doll’s ostensible iconoclastic bent Paper Puppy’s supposed conformity. In so doing, build previous attempts tease out multifaceted sexual politics YA, such those Chen Li Lisa Chu Shen. By way conclusion, suggest that representing teen sexuality honestly responsibly YA publishing scene remains challenging today’s authors.
